Your Options

Before reaching a final decision regarding your unplanned pregnancy, it is important to consider all of the options before you. While an unplanned pregnancy can raise all kinds of questions, there are rarely, if ever, easy answers, meaning it is important that you give this situation the time and consideration it deserves.

Abortion

Abortion is a serious medical procedure, making it important to do your research before pursuing it. Prior to contacting an abortion clinic, it is recommended that you consider the following questions:

  • What risks are associated with abortion
  • What types of abortion procedures are available?
  • Am I eligible to receive an abortion?

If you are considering abortion, it is important that you speak with someone regarding your decision. The staff at our 30+ affiliate centers are available to answer whatever questions you may have regarding abortion or other unplanned pregnancy options.

Adoption

Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to be a part of your child’s life even after choosing adoption. Regardless of why you believe adoption is the best option for all involved, it is important to remember that it can provide your child with a caring, love home. You may be considering adoption because:

  • You don’t want an abortion, but don’t feel ready to parent.
  • Your family or the child’s father is not supportive of the pregnancy.
  • You feel unequipped to provide the child with financial or emotional stability.

Parenting

Especially for someone experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, the decision to have and raise a child is a big undertaking. However, you may feel unsure about parenting for any of the following reasons:

  • Your family/parents are not supportive.
  • Work and/or school are your top priority.
  • You do not have financial stability.
  • You do not feel mature enough to responsibly parent.

We can address these concerns, and more, during your appointment.
